food facts

6Pack experts separate myth from fact and respond to frequently asked questions.

Can biryani be healthy - and taste great?

Sure it can! While biryani is typically loaded with fat, cholestrol and carbs, 6Pack biryani makes this Hyderabadi favorite a balanced, delicious meal. We use no dalda, animal fat, or ghee and use a healthy, blended oil in small portions. Our biryani is high on protein, fiber and vitamins and low on fat, carbs and sodium - and absolutely delicious.

What makes your food healthy?

A healthy diet is a balanced diet that provides the nutrients and vitamins essential for our bodies to perform optimally. Additionally, a healthy diet limits certain items that most people get too much of, including sodium, cholesterol, fats and sugars. All our meals are designed to fit within health guidelines from the National Institute of Nutrition and take into consideration local health requirements.

Can I trust your nutrition chart and values?

Absolutely! We mean business when it comes to health. 6Pack's processes are documented and monitored for consistency and adherance to protocols. Trained professionals analyze and calculate our recipes for accurate data.

How can so much chicken be healthy?

Our bodies require protein for growth and cell repair. Our rice meals come with 200 grams of chicken, the biryani and wraps with 180 grams. As you can see from the nutrition chart , this provides anywhere from 40% - 80% of the daily recomended amount. Chicken does contain cholesterol; 6Pack recipes limit the amount of cholesterol in all recipes. Chicken is a healthy, nutritious option for lunch or dinner.

Why do you serve brown rice?

Choosing the right rice is a significant dietary decision for most Indians. Brown rice provides nutrients, vitamins and fiber that is absent in white rice. Brown rice is a better option for the general population, especially diabetics and those with high blood pressure.
